Looking In The Mirror of Black History: Living In The Now

"Looking In the Mirror of Black History: Living In the Now" This workshop will explore how we see ourselves in relation to Black history and how we can correct unjust and inaccurate perceptions of ourselves and our world.  Museums provide realistic reflections of who we have been, who we currently are and who can become. Dr. Majied is the author of Joyfully Just, Black Wisdom and Buddhist Insights for Liberated Living which focuses on applying contemplative practices to wellness and social justice action. This enriching conversation will dive deep into Black history, spirituality, and faith exploring how they converge with each other to enrich us all.
