Welcome to the IAAM History @IAAM Scanning Registration Page. At our event on October 14, 2024, we invite you and your family to bring up to ten documents from the following list to be scanned onto a USB you bring:

• Church Obituaries
• Funeral Programs
• Birth Records
• Delayed Birth Records
• Marriage Records
• Death Records
• Pre-1970 Family Photographs
• Pictures of Old Black Charleston (neighborhoods, businesses, etc.)
• Family Bibles (with family birth, marriage, and death entries)
• Slavery-related documents

You will also be asked to complete and sign a short donation form for the Center to add your donated records to the Center for Family History’s archive.

Time: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Location: International African American Museum 

Registration instructions: Only one registration is needed per family. Put 1 for Attendee and then click Register. Once you click Register, you will fill out how many people will be coming with you.
