A Conversation in Community & Faith: Black-Jewish Experiences in American History
A Conversation in Community & Faith invites guests to an evening of film, dialogue, and fellowship exploring Black-Jewish experiences within the broader landscape of American history. Through a screening of Shared Legacies: The African-American Jewish Civil Rights Alliance, contextual conversation, and facilitated dialogue over dinner, the program creates space to consider the histories and experiences of Black and Jewish communities in the United States.
Following the screening, guests will hear additional historical and contemporary context before continuing the conversation over dinner through facilitated, salon-style dialogue. Around the table, participants will be invited to reflect on the film, exchange perspectives, and explore questions of faith, community, social justice, and civic life. The evening is designed to encourage thoughtful and honest exchange while considering the complexities of history and the ways it continues to inform our communities today.
