Awakening of The Ancestors: Echoes of The Past, Harmony for The Future | Master Class w/ Dr. G. Preston Wilson
Join us for a free and open to the public exclusive master class led by Dr. G Preston Wilson the Director of the Fisk Jubilee Singers. As the current director of the Fisk Jubilee Singers, Dr. Wilson brings firsthand experience from leadership and performances with the ensemble, which has helped to preserve and elevate the spirituals tradition for over 150 years.
Participants will explore the artistic expression and storytelling inherent in African American Spirituals. This master class is designed for aspiring vocalists, music enthusiasts, educators, and anyone interested in deepening their understanding of African American musical heritage.
